About Ivey

Ivenetta Smith, the proprietor of Ivey's K-12 Math in the Washington metropolitan area, holds a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Civil Engineering. Commencing her journey into mathematics at 19 under the guidance of dedicated professors, she acquired a profound understanding of its language and concepts.

Driven by a passion for unlocking the inherent brilliance in every child, Ivenetta believes firmly in the potential of each student, encapsulated in her motto: "every child has a level of genius." Her teaching philosophy at Ivey's K-12 Math revolves around guiding students "From Basic to Brilliance," nurturing their skills from foundational knowledge to exceptional mastery.
